Our annual Carol Service and the visit of Father Christmas to the pond will take place on Saturday 16th and Tuesday 19th December at 7.00pm.

“Strictly Come Dancing” fans – don’t forget to press the record button!!

The magnificent steam organ will be there providing the music for the carols followed by “you know who” giving sweets to all the children. You can be assured of a warm “Walkington Welcome” to one and all and we look forward to seeing the many happy smiling faces of the children as they meet Santa.

As usual we particularly look forward to the many people who bring their children in the same way that their own parents did when they were young. We also welcome many who have moved away from the village but still look forward to their return to visit family or friends at this wonderful time of the year. We will be moving amongst you with collection tins and any donation is most welcome as we rely on your generosity to buy feed for the ducks throughout the year.

Could I ask anyone who normally parks at the West end of the pond if they could help us by keeping that area clear between 6pm and 9pm on the two nights leaving room for the steam engine. Thank-you in advance for your cooperation.
