Emergency Road Works – B1230 Keldgate Road (Westwood), Beverley to Walkington –
Near the Cattle Grid

Emergency highway maintenance works are programmed to commence at the above location on Monday 20th March 2017. The work consists of excavating an exploratory hole around the failed area of carriageway adjacent to the manhole approximately 50m from the cattle grid and undertaking the necessary repairs depending on what’s found.
Working hours will be 0930 to 1530 hrs with the work lasting approximately 3 days, however this depends on the nature of the repair work required.
Unfortunately as the defect is in the centre of the carriageway a full road closure is required to protect the public and workforce. The road closure will be set up immediately to the east of Imerys Mineral Works and to the west of the golf club so as to maintain access to both.
Access for emergency services, pedestrians and cyclists past the works will be maintained at all times. The road will be fully open outside the working hours with the diversion route being via Bentley and the A164.
