You may remember that last year the blog published a post on the competition, sponsored by Hull City Council and STAND (St Andrew’s Dock Heritage Park Action Group), to select a sculpture to recognise the Lost Trawlermen of Hull.

The competition was won by Beverley artist and blog contributor, Peter Naylor. The memorial sculpture has now been completed and will be unveiled at a special memorial service at 12noon on Sunday, 12th February 2017 at St Andrew’s Quay Retail Park on the Clive Sullivan Way. The Archbishop of York, the Most Reverend Dr. John Sentamu will perform an address and the blessing of the new memorial.

I have attached the Order of Service, for anyone who wishes to attend, along with Peter’s photo’s showing the memorial as a work in progress.
