    1. 20/03363/TPO 21 George Lane
      TPO Broadgate Hospital 1987 (ref 259). A1 crown reduce two silver birch trees by four meters in height due to trees outgrowing their location and to allow the trees to thrive for longer in their current position; fell one silver birch tree due to tree being a poor specimen.
    2. 20/03289/TPO 21 5 Saunders Lane
      TPO Walkington 1972 (ref 262). G3 crown lift one sycamore tree by six meters on all sides to improve the natural light conditions and vehicular headroom clearance.
    3. 20/03713/TCA 11 Northgate
      Walkington conservation area.  Remove thirteen conifer trees due to trees growing excessively large, posing a risk to adjacent road and impinging on and could cause damage to the double garage.

20.12.10 East Riding of Yorkshire Council Matters

  1. Highway Drainage Works
    East Riding of Yorkshire Council are to carry out drainage improvement works to Bentley Lane, Beverley Road and East End.  The work is to be done in three phases the first being Bentley Lane which began week commencing 30 November 2020.
  2. Overview and Scrutiny Committee
    East Riding of Yorkshire Council are seeking suggested topics for scrutiny.  Topics must be of a strategic nature that affects the East Riding as a whole and not include individual queries, concerns, complaints or planning matters.

20.12.11 Village Improvements and Maintenance 

  1. Pond Fence Repair
    Broken fence to the east side of the gate to the pond in need of more permanent repair (deferred from last meeting).
  2. Pond Maintenance
    Update on quotes received for removal of rubbish behind the piles and backfilling.
  3. Church Walk – Overhanging Bush
    Councillor Swann to give update.
  4. Hanging Baskets – Fundraiser
    Councillor Waterland to give update.
  5. Vegetation Spraying in the Village
    The Parish Council has received a complaint about spraying activity in the village.

The next meeting of the Parish Council will be on Tuesday 12th January 2021 at 7:00pm.  It is anticipated that this will be a virtual meeting.
